LEGAL — DOC 04, POSTED IN FULL
Cookies, consent, and how to change your mind.
Termly holds the choice. Necessary preference cookies remember it. Optional chat stays off until you allow it. No advertising pixels.
These are working templates we wrote ourselves in plain language. They have not been reviewed by an attorney. If you're adapting them for your own business — or relying on them for anything important — have your own counsel read them first.
DOC 04 — COOKIE POLICY
EFFECTIVE 2026-08-15
What can be stored, who puts it there, and how you control it.
4.1The short version
This site uses a consent manager (Termly) so you can accept, decline, or pick categories before optional tools run. Necessary cookies from Termly remember that choice. Optional live chat (tawk.to) only loads after you allow Performance and Functionality. We do not run advertising pixels. Reopen choices anytime via Cookie Settings in the footer.
4.2What cookies are
Small files a website parks in your browser so it can recognize you later. Genuinely useful for logins and shopping carts; heavily used for following people around the internet. We have no logins, no online cart, and no interest in following you anywhere except into the shop.
4.3Browser storage
Termly stores your preference so the banner does not have to re-ask on every page. If you allow live chat, tawk.to may use cookies, local storage, or session storage to keep the conversation. Decline or withdraw that category and those tools stay blocked after reload. Your browser still caches pages and photos on its own — that cache is yours to clear.
4.4Links that leave the site
Clicks can leave this site for Google Maps (Visit → Get directions), Termly's preference UI, tawk.to's chat service if you allow it, and — when online checkout is switched on — Stripe's hosted payment page. Once you are on someone else's page, their policy applies. Photography is licensed stock, credited in the site's code.
4.5No banner, on purpose
The Termly banner is required because optional tools (live chat, and later a Stripe-hosted checkout return) can set cookies. Nothing optional runs from a scroll or from keeping the page open. Accept, decline, or choose categories; Cookie Settings in the footer reopens the same panel.
4.6If this ever changes
If we ever add something that sets a cookie — say, a privacy-respecting visit counter — this page changes first: fresh date, a table of exactly what's set, why, and for how long, and a consent prompt if the law requires one. Material changes go to the mailing list before they land.
