01 — SCOPE
Dockhand Beanie
This product is the merino rib beanie: one size, 9 inches deep, 100 percent merino, listed at $28 USD. There is no brim and no size run to choose — the posted spec is the whole fit story. The unit price is the unmarked knit in one of the four dyes.
It is made on a 1968 knitter, which is a machine fact from the garment card, not a biography. Team lots at 12+ are posted at $24 USD per unit, wholesale at 48+ at $20 USD per unit. Mixed dyes are allowed on those quotes.
02 — FABRIC / WEIGHT
Cloth and weight
The body is merino rib, 100 percent merino, not an acrylic blend and not the cotton jersey used on the tee. Depth is 9 inches. It is knit on a 1968 knitter in the shop's yarn stores, then dyed in the same four baths as the cut-and-sew garments.
There is no GSM callout on the garment card for this knit, so this page does not invent one. What is published is fiber, depth, and one-size. If you need a different depth or a folded cuff spec, that is a note on the quote, not a second SKU we pretend exists.

03 — COLORWAYS
The four dyes
Bone, Ink, Lake, and Night. The garment card opens on Night for this beanie. The four dyes are the standing palette shared with the fleece and the cotton, so a Night beanie sits on an Ink hoodie without looking borrowed from another line.
The posted retail number is unmarked. A team logo is a quote extra; one embroidery location is included at twelve or more units. Say in the notes if the lot should mix dyes.

04 — FULFILLMENT / PICKUP
Walk-in pickup in Manistique
Beanies are on the Oak Street floor. Walk in during Monday–Friday 10:00–18:00 or Saturday 09:00–17:00, pay at the register, leave wearing it. There is no appointment and no back-room hold for a standard retail piece.
Twelve or more is a team quote, mixed sizes do not apply here because it is one size; mixed dyes do. Forty-eight or more is wholesale. We do not post a consumer ship-by date for a single beanie. Wholesale still ships after payment, without a fake transit clock on this page.
Hours: MON–FRI 10–6 · SAT 9–5. Phone +1 (906) 978-8381 · shop@passiveapparel.com. Street address lives on the visit page.
05 — RETURNS / REPAIRS
If a seam fails
Thirty days, unworn and unwashed, tags on, receipt or quote email in hand — refund to the original payment. After that, store credit if the knit is still sellable. There is no size swap because it is one size; dye swaps within thirty days follow floor stock.
Workmanship on the knit is handled at the bench. That is not a pass for a lost beanie or a campfire hole. Custom-marked beanies follow the custom-goods rule: no refund for a change of mind; we remake if we missed the approved proof.
The full clauses are on the legal page. This summary does not replace them.
06 — HOW TO ORDER
Getting a number
This site will not charge a card for the beanie. Pay at the shop for one off the rack. For a crew or a wholesale box, send the quote form with Dockhand Beanie named and wait for a written number within one business day.
The live estimate on the form is a guide, not a bill. Nothing is confirmed until the quote is agreed and a deposit is in. Stripe-hosted checkout is planned for that later amount. Phone and email remain open.
The other five staples are on the floor too: Seiche Tee, Breakwater Hoodie, Harbor Crewneck, Lakewatch Longsleeve, Meridian Cap. The full rack is on the home page.
